Did you drain the oil out the bottom and then just fill back up? If you did, that only changes a bit as a lot of it stays in the box and torque converter. It's probably worth doing 1 or 2 more drain/fills if doing it once improved it for a bit. My Carib had issues with what seemed like sticky...
