DESCRIPTION:It’s been a strange couple of years since our last National meeting\, but with the last few weeks looking like a bit of normality is returning\, we are back. \nWe’re returning to the excellent venue of the British Motor Museum at Gaydon for our National and AGM\, again with an allocated area out the front just for us\, all day. There are toilet and café facilities on site\, and TEC members will get a discounted rate of entry to the museum (£10) which is well worth a look around. \nWe are really looking forward to seeing you all there after a long time away. SUMMARY:TEC National Meeting and AGM
DESCRIPTION:This year we have a change of venue for our annual national – the British Motor Museum at Gaydon in Warwickshire\, with the event taking place on Sunday the 22nd September. \nNo doubt many of you will have visited here before and know how excellent it is\, with a link back to Toyota in that they have in their collection the first British built Toyota. \nThe club has been allocated one of the lawns just outside the main museum building. Museum entry is discounted for TEC Members on the day\, with the museum itself opening at 10AM\, and the grounds opening for us to get into place from 9AM. The museum also has toilet and café facilities on site (food I have had here has been really nice – can recommend the pies!). \n  \nThis really is a fantastic location and we look forward to seeing you all there. SUMMARY:MR2 Drivers Club National 2019
DESCRIPTION:The MR2 Drivers Club national has become a massive gathering of all Toyota clubs\, held at Hatton Country World and supported by Toyota GB. \nOnce again we have been invited along by the MR2DC and it would be great to see a good turnout from the club at this event. DESCRIPTION:Once again Toyota Carlisle will clear its showroom of all the modern high tech cars\, to take a step back in time. A showroom that normally houses Hybrid cars and 21st century technology will be filled with some of the finest pre-2000 Toyotas ever built! Expect to see everything from classic Starlets and Corollas\, to mid 90s MR2s and GT4s\, right up to highly tuned Supras. \nAs always there are prizes on offer across various categories\, and this year promises to be the biggest and best yet.

SUMMARY:Toyota Parallel Pomeroy Trophy
DESCRIPTION:https://blog.toyota.co.uk/is-your-toyota-a-winner-join-us-at-silverstone-to-find-out \n \nThe Pomeroy Trophy is a competition run from Silverstone circuit on Saturday 16th February 2019\, and this year is it’s 64th running. It aims to find the best all round touring car using a formula based on that of Laurence Pomeroy. \nSome of you may remember that last year Toyota entered 2 Yaris GRMNs and a Corona into the event: https://blog.toyota.co.uk/yaris-grmn-pomeroy-trophy \nThis year\, Toyota are running the “Parallel Pomeroy Trophy” alongside the main event\, and are inviting all (road legal) Toyotas to take part. \nThe aim is to find the UKs best overall Toyota. As the event itself always has such a wide variety of cars being that anything road legal can take part\, Toyota are hoping to get a massive spread of models from over the years to participate. We would love for the club to show a good turnout here as it promises to be a great event\, and as mentioned above it doesn’t matter what Toyota you want to take part with – as long as it’s road legal. \nCompetitors will participate in a series of autotest-style challenges\, with a minimum of six tests scheduled on the day. A competition licence isn’t required\, but a road driving licence is needed and passengers are not allowed to be on board during the tests. \nThere is a £30 entry fee\, with all proceeds going to the Guide dogs for the Blind charity. SUMMARY:TEC National Gathering
DESCRIPTION:After a successful first national gathering at Hatton World in Warwickshire just off the m42\, we have rebooked it again for this year. The geography suits for many members\, being in the centre of the UK\, and there is plenty of space on the top field which we have secured again for both days – Saturday 11th August and Sunday 12th\, so put the dates in your diaries. \nFor those that have not been previously there are good facilities in the Hatton garden world village with eating places and pubs as well as things for the children to do\, so it can be a family day out. \nWe will be looking to get a large collection on both days and there is plenty of space to accommodate everyone.
