DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to announce the National Meeting and AGM will take place this year at a completely new venue\, “The Motorist” at Sherburn in Elmet outside Leeds. \nThe Motorist has only been open for a few years but has proved very popular amongst car enthusiasts. They hold Cars & Coffee meets each Sunday and most weekends they feature a particular car brand to attract more of those owners on the day. We intend to invite other Toyota clubs and owners via social media and through flyers handed out at local shows in the hope of making this a big event and potentially gaining a few more members on the day. Toyota GB will help publicise the event as well. Although it will be open to all Toyota owners\, the staff have reserved a sectioned off area of their “Club Le Mans” room for TEC members to hold the AGM.

There is a suggested charity donation of £10 for exhibitors. \nAfter several successful years at Wynyard Hall\, we’ve been given the opportunity to take our Prestige Motorsports Event in association with DriveNation and Classic & Retro Events\, to its new home at Croft Race Circuit. This specialist venue provides improved parking and access with the opportunity to experience these amazing cars in all their performance glory. You will also be able to book online ‘Dream Ride Experiences’ from 1 lap to a 3 Lap Experience with Ex Formula 1 and Top Gear Presenter Tiff Needell. \nOwner/Drivers can take their own vehicles out and experience the thrill of a British Touring Car Race track with packages available to book online\, starting at £125. \nThere will be hundreds of all types of vehicles on display\, with a great selection of Trades stands\, Merchandise and Street Food. Get up close and personal to vehicles from High Performance and Hyper Cars\, to Classic/Retro and Modified vehicles. A great selection of Car Clubs will also be on display. \nThe venue is wheelchair and child friendly\, with Free Entry for those UNDER 16. And only £15 per Adult with Free Parking. There will be limited VIP Parking Available\, which gives early access and on Showground Parking. \nThere will be plenty of Children’s rides and entertainment with guest VIP visitors like ‘Peppa Pig’ and ‘Marshall from Paw Patrol’. DESCRIPTION:This is a fantastic event\, and a good way to mix things up amongst static shows. Excerpt from Toyota’s event page below:\n\nThe Toyota Parallel Pomeroy Trophy is back! After a forced hiatus last year\, Toyota GB and the Vintage Sports-Car Club (VSCC) are heading back to Silverstone circuit on Saturday 19 February 2022 and Toyotas of all types and eras are invited.\n\nIn short\, the event’s mission is to find Britain’s best Toyota via a series of autotest-style driving tests\, using a unique series of calculations to ensure all are judged equally. The only strict entry requirements are that all vehicles are road-legal and Toyotas!\n\nIt’s also a fantastic social event for Toyota enthusiasts and an opportunity to swap stories with like-minded owners. Plus\, Toyota GB is bringing along some of its fleet including the new GR Yaris.\nIt costs just £35 to take part and proceeds will go to Toyota’s chosen charity\, the Motor Neurone Disease Association. SUMMARY:TEC National Meeting and AGM
DESCRIPTION:This year we have a change of venue for our annual national – the British Motor Museum at Gaydon in Warwickshire\, with the event taking place on Sunday the 22nd September. \nNo doubt many of you will have visited here before and know how excellent it is\, with a link back to Toyota in that they have in their collection the first British built Toyota. \nThe club has been allocated one of the lawns just outside the main museum building. Museum entry is discounted for TEC Members on the day\, with the museum itself opening at 10AM\, and the grounds opening for us to get into place from 9AM. The museum also has toilet and café facilities on site (food I have had here has been really nice – can recommend the pies!). \n  \nThis really is a fantastic location and we look forward to seeing you all there. It aims to find the best all round touring car using a formula based on that of Laurence Pomeroy. \nSome of you may remember that last year Toyota entered 2 Yaris GRMNs and a Corona into the event: https://blog.toyota.co.uk/yaris-grmn-pomeroy-trophy \nThis year\, Toyota are running the “Parallel Pomeroy Trophy” alongside the main event\, and are inviting all (road legal) Toyotas to take part. \nThe aim is to find the UKs best overall Toyota. As the event itself always has such a wide variety of cars being that anything road legal can take part\, Toyota are hoping to get a massive spread of models from over the years to participate. We would love for the club to show a good turnout here as it promises to be a great event\, and as mentioned above it doesn’t matter what Toyota you want to take part with – as long as it’s road legal. \nCompetitors will participate in a series of autotest-style challenges\, with a minimum of six tests scheduled on the day. A competition licence isn’t required\, but a road driving licence is needed and passengers are not allowed to be on board during the tests. \nThere is a £30 entry fee\, with all proceeds going to the Guide dogs for the Blind charity. DESCRIPTION:Cholmondeley Castle is without doubt the largest one day classic event in the North West with an unparalleled selection of classic cars and bikes on display and the Castle itself providing a stunning backdrop to the whole event. \nWe now regularly attract over 1\,000 display vehicles\, 50 plus stalls and over 5\,000 visitors through the site during the course of a day. DESCRIPTION:After a successful first national gathering at Hatton World in Warwickshire just off the m42\, we have rebooked it again for this year. The geography suits for many members\, being in the centre of the UK\, and there is plenty of space on the top field which we have secured again for both days – Saturday 11th August and Sunday 12th\, so put the dates in your diaries. \nFor those that have not been previously there are good facilities in the Hatton garden world village with eating places and pubs as well as things for the children to do\, so it can be a family day out. \nWe will be looking to get a large collection on both days and there is plenty of space to accommodate everyone.
