About the Toyota Enthusiasts club
|
The Toyota Enthusiasts Club was founded
by enthusiasts in 1991, and is a
non-profit making organisation which aims to promote the preservation
and use of older Toyotas (generally over 10 years old), but membership
is open to owners of all Toyotas (and latterly also Lexus variants) of any age and enthusiasts for the marque.
We differ from other clubs on the internet in that we are well
established, have a specific niche in catering for the owners of
older Toyotas, and come from a traditional car show and enthusiast
background. |
 |
|
The
Club Aims |
 |
The club aims to provide
technical
information and assistance with the location of spares, to establish
regional groups and to arrange club displays at classic car shows, as
detailed in our Constitution. Regalia is also available from the secretary.
|
|
Shows & Events |
During the show season (typically April to October) we attend a large
number of traditional classic car events and Japanese specific shows,
around the UK and sometimes abroad. We have also hosted our own
'National' event.
Thus we hope to increase the pleasure of
running an older Toyota by keeping in contact with other owners.
The club is also a conduit for putting members cars forward to Classic
Car Magazines and Film/TV producers. |

Membership |
 |
UK membership costs £20 per
year;
Eire
membership costs £24 per year;
Other countries cost £28 due to increased postage charges of the
quarterly TEC Topics magazine.
Subscriptions are due annually on the 1st March, but we have a reduced rate if you join part way
through the year
|
|
TEC Topics Magazine |
The
club produces a quarterly 'TEC Topics' printed magazine, which is
published in January, April, July and October. It gives news of all Club
activities and information on all aspects of Toyota ownership, and
contributions are welcomed from every member. Do not hesitate to
contact
our erstwhile editor Peter Hunter with any contributions, however short
or long, or any suggestions and ideas. |
 |
|
Website |
 |
Please do not hesitate to make
any website suggestions in the forum. Alternative website banner graphics are welcome. We hope to add much more content and
dedicated features in the future. Additional information
is also available on an interim TEC-Info website kindly produced by Scottish
member Alan Duncan ('Big Al') which can be accessed
here. |
|
Forum |
Club members who are already experienced in the ways of the
internet will need no persuading to take advantage of the
Club Forum (click
here). Newer users are recommended to take advantage of this
fantastic resource. Don't be afraid to just say hello, and post some
pictures of your cherished cars. The
Forum is a super
way to swap information, particularly if you have a technical problem or
query. It is currently open to all, and we would hope to encourage any
non-member forumites to ultimately join the club outright. |
