Toyota Fest Ireland

I've posted something about this event on the FB page but no harm in repeating it here.....

This looks like it's going to be a huge event. Previous meets in 2014 and 2016 attracted 100s of cars so it's definitely up there with the best.
I'm travelling from England and for return ferry journeys and hotel accommodation it's over £400 and that's without food, drink and petrol so definitely not a cheap weekend. I'm making the effort as a number of Irish club members take the trouble to attend events on the mainland so thought it would be nice to return the favour. We'll be having a meal/catch up at the Clanree Hotel on the Sat night if anyone either side of the Irish Sea would like to join us.
If anyone wants details of ferry and hotel prices just let me know.

The link below takes you to the original Facebook post.

Just a reminder that some of those attending Toyota Fest Ireland are having a meal and drinks at The Clanree Hotel on Sat night prior to the meeting the following day. If you would like to join us (me, Denis Bell, Sean McKenna, Andrew Hepworth....) please let me know and I'll book a table nearer the time.

Just six weeks now to this event. Dan Kelly, known to may of you when he attends events like our National Rally and Carlisle Retro Day, heads up the organising team, assisted by his son Gary and daughter Sharon and tells me almost 200 cars already pre registered. As Jeff has already advised TEC members are welcome to join us for a meal in the Clanree Hotel on the Saturday evening, where a number of us are staying. Dan also joining us. Anyone not staying at the Clanree also welcome to attend. A table already booked but Jeff or I would need your confirmation by early next month if not already done so, to finalise numbers. My detail on the Contact section of this site.

As in the previous editions of the Fest in 2014 and 2016, it promises to be the largest gathering of Toyotas anywhere on the planet in 2025. As mentioned in an earlier Fb post, the orgnisers promise the surprise appearance of some very rare and special cars - Denis.

Since Adam refreshed the Forum there has been some increased activity, but the majority of Club comments are still made on our Facebook site. Jeff Markham and I reviewed above, Toyota Fest Ireland which took place last Sunday, with quite a lot of comments following on the Club Fb section. For those of you who don't normally visit it, worth a look. The event organised by Dan Kelly and family and took place at his nephew Brendan's big Toyota/Lexus dealership at Letterkenny in County Donegal. It was a huge success with numbers exceeding even the organiser's most optimistic expectations - 486 Toyotas and Lexus appearing on the day.

Jeff and another TEC member Andrew Hepworth have kindly posted excellent photos on our Fb, as well as those on the Toyota Fest Fb itself, all of which capture the vast size of the meeting. Especially the wide range of cars and also some light commercials, including early Starlets and Corollas, most of which were in lovely standard, unmodified condition. At the othe end of the scale, in the lower floor showroom, the latest Yaris GR4 was on display alongside, an ultra rare (and expensive) Rovanpera limited edition. Dan's cousin Donagh had also loaned two ex works Rally cardrs from his Museum, a 1991 Carlos Sainz, Safari Rally Celica ST165 GT4 and an Ott Tanak, Elfyn Evans, winning 2019 Yaris GRMN.

The size of the dealership and its large rear car parking area packed with cars, behind the impressive modern two story showroom, clearly visible in the aerial photographs, on the Toyota Fest Ireland 2025 Fb. As they say in Donegal, " A Grand Day Out, was had by all".
